You are invited to visit Lighthouse Baptist Church of Waterbury. The church is an Independent, KJV Bible-believing church. The primary goal is to learn and grow in the principles of God’s word together so that we can go out with confidence and win the lost of this world to Jesus Christ.
What We Believe
Bible
We believe that the King James Bible, the sixty-six books in the Old and New Testaments, is the verbal-plenary Word of God. It was given by inspiration of God, inerrant, infallible and the sole authority in all matters of faith and practice.
Trinity
We believe the trinity is God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Satan
We believe in the reality of Satan as a distinct personality who fell from his exalted state in rebellion against God.
Creation
We believe that the Biblical record of the creation of angels, physical universe and man is literal, and not allegorical or figurative.
Man
We believe that men are sinners, both by nature and by choice. God provided a way of escape through the death, burial and resurrection of his Son Jesus Christ.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God brought to men by grace and received by repentance toward God and by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Security
We believe in the eternal security of the true believer.
The Church
We believe the local church is God’s program for this present age.
Spiritual Gifts
We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowment of all His gifts and that the gifts of evangelist, pastor-teachers are sufficient for the perfecting of the saints today.
